Ruffles!
I recently stumbled across a vintage inspired boutique called Ruche, and fell hard for this flirty little dress! The ruffles, the tiny prints, and the fresh color palette are quintessentially spring. Making my own paper ruffles suddenly seemed irresistible, so I raided my stash and found the perfect papers to create a card for my sweet daughter Megan. The sentiment inside, "You are so beautiful to me" are song lyrics that I often sang to her when she was a baby. This card was so much fun to make, and the pleats are surprisingly easy to fashion using crumpled paper and Scor-Tape. I used pretty little papers from the Quite Contary collection by My Minds Eye.
I printed out the sentiment inside the card on cardstock and then ran it through my Accucut. To a dash of sparkle, I used scor-tape and glitter for the belt, and a little glitter in random sprinkles around the edges of the sentiment. I wanted the card to swivel open, so I used a tiny little pink clothespin adorned with a rhinestone on the left strap. I would love to wear a dress like this, but my motto is, "If you can't wear it, make it into a greeting card!"
Oh mY I am loving the ruffles too...so adorable!

You used all that I love for this dress. Ruffles, polka dots, flowers, paper dress, minatures, and most of all, cuteness. Is that a word?
