Vintage Wedding Sneak Peek!

I found a gorgeous real wedding that I'll be posting about tomorrow on DIY Weddings. It's brimming over with gorgeous vintage details like the suitcase turned card box above. Although it's a wedding post, it's a feast for the eyes for anyone who loves beautiful vignettes with a vintage twist! I love this suitcase so much I just couldn't wait to share it with everyone! Be sure to check out my DIY Wedding blog tomorrow for a link to the complete post!

Ribbon Essentials Kit Tutorial on May Arts

Ribbons are an essential element in just about every project I create so it's important for me to keep my ribbon stash and other supplies organized and easy to find. I have certain essentials that I always reach for when I'm working with ribbon, so I decided to make a grab and go kit to house my favorite supplies and a swatch book to help me keep track of my ever-growing collection of gorgeous ribbons. You can check out the full tutorial on the May Arts blog.

This rolled rose made from cream satin pleated ribbon is my favorite part of the tutorial! It's surprisingly quick and easy to create!

Click here for a printable PDF of the entire project including the ribbon rose. Happy crafting!

Craft Gossip

Craft Gossip is an amazing website that features daily doses of inspiration for a wide variety of creative activites. Stamping, sewing, home and garden, scrapbooking, and indie crafts are just a few of the many categories brimming with ideas, inspiration, and fabulous photos. I'm thrilled to announce that starting today I'm the newest editor for Craft Gossip and its latest addition DIY Weddings! I'll be posting nearly every day about all the fabulous wedding related ideas that I find and I can't wait to share them with you!
I'm always scouring the internet to find inspiration for my blog, for my booth at the Owensboro Antique Mall, for papercrafts, party planning, home decor, color schemes, and so much more. I've discovered that wedding blogs have some of the best ideas around that can be adapted for any occasion, and the photography is absolutely gorgeous! It's been a long time since my own wedding, but I still love the sparkle and magic that weddings embody.  I am astounded by the imagination and vision of DIY brides who create beautiful and personal events without breaking the bank! I hope you will join me on my new journey and find inspiration not just for weddings but for making every day a special day to remember.
