Friday Findings: Free Vintage Images!

I've already proclaimed my love for the Graphics Fairy many times on this blog! With over 1,500 images to choose from, it's a goldmine for anyone seeking graphics to use for projects of all sorts. I love the Brag Monday feature on this blog: a linky party where you can share the creations you've made with the Graphics Fairy images. It's a great source of inspiration! I thought it would be fun to share some of the other wonderful sites I've discovered for vintage images for this week's Friday Findings.

Green Paper is another favorite source of images both free and for purchase. There are also wonderful online classes offered this site that teach the basics and more of collage art. The classes are jam packed with free images, tons of great instructions, and a flickr group to share your classwork. I've taken two classes that are offered on this site, Your Vintage Gluebook, and Collage Coterie and learned so much from both. Your Vintage Gluebook class is still available online, and a new class Collage Basics begins this week.

Karen's Whimsy offers a huge selection of public domain images ranging from vintage fashions to science clipart, paper dolls, coloring sheets, and more! Karen also creates gorgeous altered books and collage art.

Here are a few more sites you may wish to explore:
The Vintage Moth
Antique Images
Altered Bits
Old Photo Album

Please note that every site has varying terms of use for their images, so it's important to read the fine print before you use them! A big thanks to all the generous owners of these sites for sharing their amazing graphics with us!
What can you do with all these fabulous images? Cards, journals, collage, home decor, decoupage...the list is endless! I hope you enjoyed today's finding, and wish you a creative and happy day!
