Green Patina

Rusty metal junk makes my heart beat a little faster! And if it's green rusty metal junk...I'm over the moon! I found these metal file boxes during a recent foray to the Hoosier Antiques Mall in Jasper, IN. I did a doubletake when I rounded the corner and discovered them stacked on a table just waiting for me. I imagined them brimming with collage supplies, tear sheets from magazines, vintage photos, ephemera - all the pretty little things I love to collect!

I found this pint sized beauty a few booths down, and knew I had come to the right place.

Items like these garner a quizzical lift of the brow from my husband, but he just helps me unload them and find a place for them in my cluttery treasure-filled studio.

I snagged this fabulous vintage ledger for a mere $2.00!

But all in all it was a study in green patina.
