Trigger Time!

Roni & Michelle decided to create their own "trigger" a la Moxie Fab, and I just had to join in the fun! The upholstered bed immediately made me think of canvas, so I decided to do a 6 X 6 canvas collage.
I found a picture of a zinnia online, but it was extremely bright, so I logged onto the trusty Picnik site and converted it into a pencil sketch.
That was a little too plain, so I used Solar Gold Twinkling H2Os to add a subtle golden shimmer.
I wanted a special background paper, so I decided to create my own! I found this website with great information about Zinnias, copied the text to Microsoft Word, changed the font style to French Script, and resized the word zinnia wherever it appeared in the text. Then I printed it out on a sheet of old paper taken from a large music book. I tore it to the correct size, inked the edges with Antique Linen Distress Ink, and viola! Fancified paper that I made myself!

I found some brown leaf trim from May Arts in my stash, and decided to use that to echo the leaves on the bedspread. I glued it all together with some Claudine Hellmuth Matte Multi-Medium, and here it is!

Thanks for the inspiration Roni and Michelle! Can't wait to see what you do next!
