Sidetracked!

Where, you might rightfully inquire, are the promised photos of the magically transformed covers of my Serendipity art journal? Great question! They are still in my head cause I got sidetracked by a train! Last weekend, my daughter and I joined some aunts and cousins and one grandmother for a fun weekend in Bardstown, KY. We visited the nearby Kentucky Railway Museum, and went for a 90 minute joyride on a restored passenger train. We had a wonderful time exploring the charming little historic district of Bardstown, and of course we loved chugging along the tracks through the valley, but alas, no time for creative endeavours! I even took a stuffed-to-the-brim bag of supplies with me, but they never saw the light of day. We were too busy eating, talking, laughing, poking around in antique stores, and riding the rails!
During occasional lulls in the action, I pondered over the cover art and came up with some fun ideas. When they are out of my head and onto the book, I'll share them with you for real! Here's a little sneak peek of some elements inside the book that will soon grace the outside:

  1. Didn't ya just love Bardstown? Dan and I spent an anniversary there one year. And I think we need to go back; we stayed in the Stephen Foster Motel, it was so old fashioned, loved it! Glad you all had a great time!
